I did not have a good experience with Lowe's. I am sure they are a good company, but they want young people that they can get cheap.

Being young is not a bad thing but in my opinion it leaves a lot of room for mistakes causing big headaches for the company and management I would have to think it would be a lot better to hire an equal amount of mature well grounded employees to give everyone the benefit to keep the company moving in a thriving capacity !!

They also use the STAR interview system. S is for situation, so think of a situation you dealt with, T is for task, so what was the task, A is for the action you took, and R is for the result. So think ahead to a situation where you helped someone (customer service skill) and also have a safety situation in mind as well.

I agree 100%. They don't want people who know what they're doing and how to tell someone how to build or fix something they just want somebody that can sit stuff on the Shelf

They have the same basic questions when interviewing. It’s been so long since I worked there I can’t remember any. As long as you stay professional & use common sense you should be fine. I do remember one they asked about how do I receive criticism from my boss. I said it depends on the spirit in which it’s given. If they feel I need it to do a better job and they are professional about I have no problem with it. But if it’s done with malice or I’ll intent I would have an issue with it.

Be sure your are ready and willing to work every weekend and that you appreciate being measured on every little stupid metric they can come up with.
