This question keeps coming up, I thought I would post the question to the community. Would rather work 4 - 10 hour shifts or 5 - 8 hour Shifts? Why?

@Michael Carvalho I would prefer 4-10. Less commuting, an extra day off, and overtime after 8 hours. But I generally work 50-60 hours a week as a commercial driver.

It's better to have a shorter work day. In Sweden, many companies reduced shifts from 8 to 6 hours. As result, the total productivity got increased. It's simple: non-overloaded people work much better. And they have time for their families stopping earlier.
