X-boss sys PTO is earned, but when I leave that job I lose it?
I had 43.×× hrs of PTO, when I separated from that employer I did not get paid for it. Can they do that legally? #termination #advice #unemployment
Your boss isnt HR!!
They will pay you out on your last paycheck. Makes them obligated to answer your request.Ask them what is your PTO amount is that you have acquired. Don’t ask them if it will be paid out to you. Tell them you will be expecting it bro. Put it an email - not verbal either.
You should be entitled to that and paid on your final check. Like the boss said you earned that.
not sure ask your better bussiness bereu
PTO upon separation is usually outlined in the Handbook. In my experience, if you resign with a 2-week notice, you should be paid. If you are termed due to the company going in a different direction, you should be paid. But, if you are termed for misconduct or you quit without notice, you forfeit your PTO. For best practices, know before you go! Good luck.
It should be stated in the new hire package and/or employee handbook. If so then they do not have to pay you.
Read the handbook same here most cases if you give two weeks notice. If they term its their call
