My duties consisted of opening registers at the beginning of each shift, taking customer orders, stocking merchandise, counting out drawers at the end of each shift. I did cash drops, refunds, cash counts, exchanges, front face, and stock. I also help put away store merchandise on truck days, supervising employees, and managed employee lunch breaks.

My duties as a classified substitute consisted of filling in for absent 3-hour and 8-hour School Site Custodians, and for absent members of the evening custodian cleaning crews. I also filled in for absent Food Service Workers, at various school sites.

I also assisted with unloading the tires from the truck every Wednesdays and answer phones.

It is estimated that four children die each day in this country as a result of child abuse and neglect. (From the Office of Justice Programs, 2005 NCVRW Resource Guide.) The Federal Child abuse Reporting act was passed in 1974 to address this issue.

The Child Abuse Mandated Training Project is funded by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Office of Child abuse Prevention (OCAP). The goal of this project is to have training available for mandated child abuse affiliates so they may carry out their responsibilities properly.
