Degree: Biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position .-OR- B.) Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized Experience for GS-14: To qualify for the GS-14, applicants must have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service: Providing consultation to scientific experts to determine if changes in procedures or guidelines are needed. Assisting in leading workgroups to develop regulations and guidance for biotech drug products. Evaluating Chemistry Manufacturing Controls submissions to ensure the quality of the product is suitable throughout the life cycle. Time-in-Grade: Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service).
