Job Description Position is for a supervisor for the US/UK Logistics section. Position will be supporting the Logistics team for the US and UK Trident II Strategic Weapons System, including Vanguard and Dreadnought, and the US OHIO and Columbia Programs. The candidate will work from the 520 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD location. Responsibilities include managing all phases of software development, including requirements definition, design, code, test, implementation, and documentation. Duties also include briefing the customer at management reviews, providing status reports, participating in customer working groups, as well as performing data and systems analysis. Supervisory duties include ensuring section employees meet all timekeeping, ethics, training, safety and performance requirements, as well as hiring, coaching and evaluating employees on the team.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education and years of related/relevant experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 8 or more years of relevant/related work experience, including previous supervisory experience.
Additional skills/experience required:
Experience using Oracle Databases
Experience in Oracle SQL, including PL/SQL scripting
Experience with software development of a web application
Experience with all phases of software development
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communications skills
Experience troubleshooting problems
Experience working in a team environment
Security clearance requirement: This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Highly desired, but not required:
Experience supporting the Strategic Systems Program (SSP)
Knowledge of UK Logistics
Knowledge of the Comprehensive Logistics Automated Support System (CLASP)
Knowledge of UK Vanguard SWS and SWSS, and UK Dreadnought SWS and SWSS
Knowledge of UK requisition financial processing
Knowledge of windows or Unix/Linux operating systems
Active DoD Secret security clearance
