Sales Representative/Customer Service at Adams Memorials

Hello, I just joined a second ago, but I have been reading a lot of the comments on here for awhile. I have been out of prison for over 20 years. I was fortunate that when I got out that my old employer re-hired me. I worked at that job and moved up to an assistant manager position fairly quickly. I stayed for a long while, and ended up moving out of town, and quitting that job. Time passed.....I ended up moving back to my home town....Fortunate again...I got a job at a local factory. After 2 years I was moved up to the office in sales. I worked there for almost 10 years, and started having health issues, was laid off and never asked to come back....I was heart broken. Now here I am, looking for a job, with a felony on my record....I have been unemployed for over a year now. I have not been able to draw unemployment, and if it weren't for my family I would be homeless. I have worked since I was 15 years old. I am desperate for a job!! I am willing to relocate, and I promise you that you would not be disappointed! I need that chance to prove to someone that I am worth their time! My health is great now! I had a set back for a few months......PLEASE! IF ANYONE SEES THIS!!! I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MANY DIFFERENT FIELDS!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!! #hireme #willrelocate #jobsearch #youwillnotbedisappointed

U don’t have. To be so desperate sounding house people are just going to use it against you so put your head up smile and know that whatever it is you do they need you stop telling people your life story like it’s something bad God brought you this far.

Hello and welcome back to the Jobcase community. Sorry to hear you have been unemployed, but by being persistent you should be back on track. Try the Jobcase Jobsearch toolbar for potential employment opportunities. You can use keywords like “Sales” to filter out your search. If there is nothing there try Craigslist. There are a good amount of companies hiring on there as well.

Looks like you have added your experience so all you need to do is be aggressive when applying for jobs. Any other questions feel free to reach out. We are here to help.

@Anna Epperson, you sound motivated & determined so you're off to a great start! I would encourage you to complete your profile bio by telling us & recruiters what interests you & what skills you want to highlight. I see you have management experience so that's a plus. I am providing a link to a site that has excellent resource information I think might be helpful to you. It's an all inclusive resource site so explore your options there for jobs, training, resources & much more!

Also, utilize our job search tool here on Jobcase. Enter the job type & your location. Don't limit your options because you think your record will prevent you from getting the job you want. Fair Chance hiring practices are more prevalent now than ever. Also, considering your skill set, think about transferable skills and what job types could be a good match. Customer service skills are highly transferable to so many professions & lend themselves to remote positions as well so don't overlook opportunities like those. Helpful links below and good luck! Keep us posted.

Pray and ask God to give you a job. Go to small businesses, restaurants, corner stores, and places where they don’t do criminal checks. Be creative start your one cleaning business, dog walking/sitting business. Start a window cleaning business. Call cleaning services in your area that is looking for commercial and residential cleaners. Many of those cleaning companies need worker like yesterday. And they don’t have the time to do background checks. Go to new local restaurants. Think outside the box. And claim your job and don’t be weary in well doing. There’s a job out there with your name on it. Just keep on moving forward cause you haven’t seen nothing yet. Get your beautician or barber license. Just pray until you find something. Pray it through. I hope this helps and God bless you:)
