I was working for a company for almost 3yrs. When I accidentally gave a customer an employee's discount. I received a call from corporate regarding this matter and I told them that I was will to pay the difference. Instead of giving me a second chance they suspended me and within 12hrs after my suspension they called and told me that I was terminated. I worked my butt off for this company and they didn't give me a write up, a warning, nothing. Sad to say but this company is a very disappointment.

However , yes you lost that job No big'ee You lived it You learned from it right And Now you Stay positive Move on ..... Cheer up Its all part of the whole working Environment ... Was the company Central Pet? I got written up for saying "Excuse Me" trying to politely interject while somebody was being rude to me in an email. Companies who do these things to good hard workers don't care about longevity for the employee and they will have a high turnover rate, too!
You have serious grounds for unemployment. Especially, with no write-ups, employee counseling, etc. File for unemployment, so you can cover your Bill's while you look for a job that actually has an HR dept. that knows the laws.
You made a honest mistake and everybody who is a human will make a mistake unfortunately employers doesn’t see it from that perspective they look at it as losing money,I think a Write up would have been sufficient the termination was not necessary
