I have worked for BofA twice in the last 15 years. The first time was through a recruitment firm, under contract, but assigned to a BofA software development team and the 2nd time, BofA paid my salary, was through Merrill Lynch Investments, hired directly by BofA. When one is under contract as a software developer, the length of the contract was usually 13 months, after which you would had to reapply for another position or, if still available, the same position. They would not roll you over into the bank as an FTE. When under contract and your 13 months was up, no matter what, they would terminate on good terms, everytime. A technical and soft skill interview used to be the norm even repeatedly for the same position. Overall BofA is amazing to work for and I must admit, both times at the bank had been my most enjoyable and most immersive contracts in my career. To conclude, interviews happen, but after clearing those hurdles BofA is one of the best. #softwaredevelopment #codeForBofA #workforabank workforbofa
