Unfair advantage?

I work in a smaller establishment where our front of the house manager also serves and bartends Also She scheduled herself the best shifts as well as all the private events recently she got a DUI and was a no-call no-show. The staff covered for her knowing she was in jail should I let our boss know what happened and if she's not reprimanded like others have been in the past and even fired should I quit

Hi Cathy Owens , I could understand your interest in informing your boss if this over-privileged Manager goes without some form of recourse for her No-Call, No-Show incident but why risk being singled out as a liability with the staff when they find out you were the informer.

The fact that the rest of the staff covered for her say's she a very feared or very liked Manager. Stay focused on your job and your workplace peace of mind.

Don't get involved in anyone else's business so they won't get involved in yours. Good Luck!

Hi Cathy, it sounds like you have some understandable resentments because this woman is costing you money by taking all of the best situations. She maybe sleeping with the boss and is able to do whatever she wants. Another thing is that bartenders that have good personalities have followers and that’s something the boss also has to consider. He’s going to find out one way or the other, but I would suggest keeping out of it. I also think you should stand up for yourself and ask for some of the better shifts and other perks to be more evenly distributed, especially if, you have put in the time and have created your own following, to some degree at least. One thing that will definitely hurt you, is to work with a feeling of resentment, that will, in subtle ways, be picked up by the customers and not to your benefit. In any case, don’t let this situation dwell in your mind incessantly or very often. One day, you may be in charge of others and this can be a lesson about how to treat those people. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Good luck.

I'm also pretty sure if she runs a business that sells liquor and is charged the DUI she gets that license taken away if I'm not mistaken and I guess it depends on your stay in the laws but it should be taken away since she doesn't even know how to handle her own drinking so what do you think she's doing to customers who are pulling out of her establishment overly serves so she can have a following no matter where she goes and putting innocent people in danger. Ridiculous

Time for her to turn over her position!!!!!!! It's hard enough with me being fired from jobs that I can't even move up the corporate ladder

Public speaking is the imitative conclusive segment to my approach in my world of communicating with the masses. The opportunities in this framework is very limited & an exposure to more openings would be an open venue to interested applicants who align themselves in this field of communications.Your recommendations to elevate an achievement of hope would be much appreciated. .

Get married to a competent guy, then you can not care at all about trival crap at your job. You are stressing over things that actually dont matter in your life. The only reason it matters is because you put yourself in a particular position in life, based on your choices and desires.
