Also there are security companies out there that will help get the right certifications to start working. Some free and some that will charge you once they get you working.

It takes a 4 day course at a Security training facility... Go on line, and look for Security Officer/ Guard training Centers, and gun rangers

Probably one of the easiest jobs in America, Only problem is it's a low paying job, so the need to move up the ladder would probably create the need to seek pastures "Agreen".

You will need to start by getting a security license and based on company or not you may need additional licensing to carry a concealed weapon. It all depends on what level of security you’re looking to pursue.

In the state of Texas to get license as security guard/ officer you apply with a security company that will train you and license you once you pass a state license exam prior to that you must pass a background check so you must not have any felonies at all or have a criminal record going back 3 yrs plus if you want more pay then there's the level 3 which is armed security guard same background check but some will also do a credit check for Armour transport ( dealing with money or diamonds)

In the state of Arkansas, it does not take a whole lot. It does help if you have a military background. Companies around here like to see that. The company you hire on with will more than likely have some basic courses they will make you take before hiring you. Pretty simple stuff, not rocket science. Armed security is like all the others have said. More courses and licensing to go through. Good luck to you!
