It can pay to help people in the Jobcase Community! Five Jobcasers are selected as the Jobcasers of the Week, and they are awarded $100 for:

  1. Providing helpful answers to questions by fellow Jobcasers
  2. Having a fully filled out profile, including a profile picture

Here are this week’s Jobcasers of the Week:

Michael Carvalho - Connect with Michael
Michael replied to a question about how to dress for a construction interview:

“When applying for jobs, it is best to dress for the occasion. Such as in Construction, I wouldn’t recommend dressing in a suit. Casual dress is preferred. I remember back in the day when applying for a construction job, I had on jeans and a polo shirt. Got hired and ended up joining the union.”

Debra Ethan - Connect with Debra
Debra replied to a question about being forced to train your replacement:

“It's a terribly bitter pill to swallow. I've done it more than once. I had to keep in mind it wasn't the new person's fault for how things turned out & I had to keep in mind that I wanted to behave as an adult with professionalism. Life isn't fair & no one said it would be…”

Cynthia Mathis - Connect with Cynthia
Cynthia answered a question about the best way to calm nerves before an interview.

“Research the company and position. Knowledge is power and confidence”

Renee Campbell - Connect with Renee
Renee answered a question about working with a narcissist:

“You don’t deal with narcissists. You make sure you can get your work done and cover your butt. Don’t worry about coworkers - Do what you have to do to be the best at your job and keep it moving!”

Roger Dickman - Connect with Roger
Roger answered a question about earning more money by commuting to work rather than working from home.

“That is a tough choice Ashley, but maybe it'd be for the best to WFH due to gas costs and wear and tear on your vehicle, not to mention unpaid commute time, it may end up being the right choice, and it's only about $25 per day, good luck to you!”

Congratulations to this week’s Jobcasers of the Week!
