Hey Andrienne Jackson , I have a curious nature so forgive me but I have to ask… why did you accept that job? You identified a long list of con’s but what were the pro’s that led you to make the decision to take the job? I’m just wondering if there’s a goal associated to your decision. Maybe you took the job to earn some income while you continue to look for a more suitable position. Could be the jobs location is close or at a walking distance from your home?
If accepting this job is short term solution to a long term goal then stay focused and on task until that goal is achieved. Take another look at the circumstances and determine if it’s still worth it. Also, try not to make accepting bad jobs a pattern. Primarily because you deserve better! Employers also take notice of your work history and a steady decline in jobs/pay may raise red flags.
Cleary, that’s not a god work culture for you despite the pa which seems incredibly low; even for NC standard of living (much lower than living in NYC). No worries Andrienne Jackson , we’re here to support you.
Let me know what an ideal work situation looks like for you. Be specific, give us a job title, industry, salary/benefits, and work culture you’re attracted too and we’ll forward you some hiring opportunities (if a job/career change is what you’re seeking).
One more thing if possible Andrienne Jackson . Upload an updated copy of your resume when you have an opportunity. Most members miss this critical step. Having your education and work background visible makes it easier for employers, recruiters and other members in this community connect you to more favorable employment opportunities.
In the meantime Andrienne Jackson … hang in there! A solution is much closer than you think :-)
