I recently took on a long term temporary job. The work-place environment was rather toxic and chaotic.
There was a person that was working there before I started working. But the person didn't seem to do their work. Instead, the person just the work there for me to do after they left.
The person seemed to have connections with the secretary,which they flaunted.
I was given both a verbal and a written warning. I was told I was not going to be allowed to stay at the workplace.
Normally, I would try to stay on working on a position until the position would end considering how times are challenging at the moment. Yet, I figured it was best to not go back.
While I may have lost opportunities for advancement at that one company, I wasn’t really getting compensated adequately or my time and for buying supplies on my either.

Yes…. I was going to stay until I completed the assignment, however, that did not happen. I don’t believe I had a fair chance as the disconnect was too large.
