How proud are you?

If you quit a job for greener pastures, would you go back if things didn’t work out? What’s your pride-o-meter level 1-10? I am a 10. Too much pride is my ultimate demise. Ugh, I hate this about myself. Anyway, what about you?

Well....If I leave a job it's for a good reason. My job of 12.5 years I absolutely loved. However, what I did was not acknowleded and I was not respected. If my former employer came to me ,and we are able to come to terms. I might consider it. I however would not beg to go back. One of life's stepping stones.

I'd at least call and ask..especially if you've been gone less than a year!

Try looking for employment while being unemployed and I promise your pride will be diminished. I personally enjoy priding myself in success although after 2 months my pride level is at 0

I would like to say first of all jobs are hard to come by and too leave a job to pursue another job that's isn't no real guarantee then too once you leave that job someone is going to fill that position real quick.and if you aren't leaving your job for the right reasons you might be out a job totally and what if the the new job you are pursuing just hire you and then turn around and deside that they don't want you any longer where are you left at in a worser situation than what you all ready had. SO ITS GOOD TO THINK BEFORE YOU LEAP.

I would go back under different circumstance. I.e. contract no strings. Sometimes you have take a leap of faith but if the old job is willing take you back they find you valuable. So I would use that to my advantage and negotiate so better options.

I did that once and it didn't work out. There's a reason we leave a toxic work environment.

Finding a job is easy. It’s keeping and being at one that’s hard
