I have read many rejection letters over the years while looking for jobs, and I was thinking, wouldn't it be great to know the REAL reason that those resumes were not being considered for the position? Has anyone ever had the guts to reach out and ask why their resume wasn't considered? I think feedback is so important and I wish I had asked for more of it. I think maybe I was too scared of rejection at that time.

Know a day's it's who you know, not what you know..........

Bullshit. . I know a female over qualified for a job near her house she just wanted part time, but the manager only hired his family members or ppl he knew.

Hi Check out my comment Cam Killa Lacy. Also I have inquired a few times as to WHY I was not hired. The response I received is that they're not aloud to give out that information!!

Often times when we are rejected for jobs, it may not be because of anything we did or did not do. Some employers look for specific traits or job skills that we may not have acquired yet. This does not mean we aren't talented, just that the specific job or timing may not have been right for us!
I have asked before and was not given a reason. In at least some cases, people aren't hired because of discrimination (race, age, sex, physical attributes, handicaps), and companies would be setting themselves up for lawsuits if they told the truth.
