Both?

Overtime

Overtime. An unpaid leave can cause financial hardship.

Overtime

Overtime, but not too extreme

Over time I’m working im occupied and still able to provide for myself and family the benefits income which is needed and my 🧠 is still moving cognitively medical benefits with a very unpredictable future do to the 😷 work is a stress reliever for some one my age who has been working since age 16

You are asking if I would like to be paid on the level or bank extra hours worked for when it suits me. One is paid immediately at a premium and the other is rarely doled out equitably at a one for one or one and a half rate. I think that anyone considering the entire argument would realize that your future social security income is entirely dependent upon the taxes you pay on the income you take home. For that reason alone, I would take 100% more pay paid now than some percentage of unpaid time off at the company's whim. It is rarely "convenient" when you want to take it.

How any time paid.

I am/was a salary paid employee. I kept track of my hours none the less. In 1 year I had 1 years worth of unpaid overtime. My body gave out and I went on sick leave. My boss actually contacted my union and got me 1 years pay. My job description says MINIMUM 36 1/4 hours a week. nothing about maximum, so no overtime pay, except for me I guess. Like I say, keep records.
I would rather get paid for the overtime as I already get PTO
