Can someone give me a little advice on Home Depot?

I'm curious about what I can expect when it comes to the hiring process at Home Depot? What will they ask at the interview? Also, do they do drug screens?

They will def do a criminal background check and require a drug test. They are diligent with that...

    • i worked there for 4.5 years as an 'opener' . . . yes they screen at start of employment for drugs . they also do a background check , worked in 3 departments for them [enjoyed hardware the most] and became good friends with all co-workers and managers . i was on the employee safety crew and had lift equipment licenses for all machines . i hope this is of help. the staff does ask me if i'm willing to come back whenever i visit the store as a customer .

Our store did breakfasts , lunches , pizza days , and holiday themed days for the employees to enhance employee morale , successfully . i even got dressed up as Santa one year to greet customers in the store . what a hoot !

On my last interview for a facilities technician at Home Depot with a treat. I spent three hours going to three different places because they never sent the address when I got there the interviewer was at Walmart and I waited an hour and a half for her. The interviewer who was a female, no offense ladies, but this lady barely spoke English and didn't know anything about fixing a hole in the wall. Anyway I let her know how I felt when she came back and I walked out. Personally I would rather be homeless than work for someone as incompetent as Home Depot hire. Yeah that explains pretty much everyone who works there. INCOMPOTENT.
