Elderly Disabled Care Provider at Department Of Rehabilitation Services

I found out the hard way that what my grandma always said is true...if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! I had an interview for a work from home job that required special office equipment in order to perform the job, which the company provided. After a lengthy interview process I was informed by a choppy English speaking manager that I was perfect for the position and was hired. I had to provide a copy of my driver's license and the name of the bank I bank at. After supplying all this, I was given a list of other people who were being hired at the same time and was then informed that I would have to give the company my bank account number and checking and routing number so that they could deposit the money into my account to purchase the required computer and software. A red flag went up so I immediately googled the name of the company and they were highly rated, but it wasn't legit! Now my info is out there, probably on the dark web! #scams

Hello ,some many scammers out there , emails ,text, online, about any thing a call saying about something you may of order. I normally do not give my personal information to. Top one harassment calls healthcare; Medicaid and Medicare after the to call state I'm not old enough and the next biggest final expenses. Lastly a few to ask if I willing to donate to charity, after I state I am not working at the moment , and need help myself . I got one thing to say to everybody that needs to know my mother gave to so many charities before she died you think any one of them came forward for her nope. Not one card from any of them sending a condolence sorry for the loss of the family member .

Wow a few weeks ago I posted a similar scenario that happened to me when I first started signing up on online job searches. I learned the following are red flags to consider and stop before you supply any personal information:

  1. Job offer is unsolicited
  2. They seem to be in a hurry to hire you
  3. The job description is vague
  4. Job description is mostly about benefits to you
  5. They request your bank account info I'm sure I had others I don't recall now but becareful. What is most upsetting is the fact this people get your information from online job boards like career builders and others. Unless you update your privacy settings scammers will get your info.

Always Get a formal offer of employment first. With a hiring manager signature.. . You then have to decide if this is a legit employer and company.. . You May need to close your account at your bank for your protection.
