I get a lot of text messages for immediate job interviews for data entry/customer service work. The all say they got my resume from Career builder and perform a sham interview that makes no sense. Then they offer to send me a check to get software for a laptop that they will send me for my training. That will never make sense to me. The checks are as little as $2,000.00 and more. They want me to deposit it in my account and they will tell me to order the software from their vendor. I ask why they can't have the software installed before sending me the laptop since it is their vendor? They mention it is a matter of trust. It has only cost me $5.00 so far, but once they mention sending a check before I've even been hired I hang up. They never video interview. Watch out for #scams.

I'm new to this website and since joining I have been getting txt messages from different individuals that want me to post thier properties online and the way they are presented themselves it's not setting right especially me first encounter I felt the person on the other end was very rude the second one was more polite and more professional with things that he wanted to done but cause of the first incident im now somewhat on shaky ground with the second one so I will we know which ones are really scamming after you have started working thier requirements what steps should we be taking before excepting an offer just trying to understand

Did you ever ask what the company name is, and look them up on the internet, call them and ask them if that is the way they do business? Or simply ask them for the number of their HR Department because you have a couple of questions. That would be the end of the conversation. Pretty simple stuff Sharolynn!

I had someone waste my time today too. I tried calling him on Zoom and he declined it. 1st red flag. Asked good questions about being able to do the job. But when he was telling me about the hours he slipped up and I questioned it. Anyways, then at the end he said give me 15 minutes. Comes back and says I’m hired. But they will send all my information via email for work. I asked to video Zoom or at least voice call and he came back with the same answer. I said this has got to be a scam. I’m out!
