Guys, I am moving on with my life, I am calm, I am doing a lot of things, I am working, I am shopping, I am interacting with a lot of people-in fact I am about to have a meeting with one organization in about an hour-they buried my mother by the way. I attend job interviews, job fairs, other fairs, I am a very active person. Do you know recently there was a gigantic Resource fair at our local library, I was there! They brought a lot of, as my social worker calls it, cool stuff, free stuff: socks, cups, water bottles, potato chips, hand sanitizers, bags, sun eye-glasses, T-shirts-I appreciated all that. But celebration? Let alone a celebration of an innocent person's death?

That laugh was very loud- in the computer lab of a public library where people are using computers and are trying to concentrate (that woman was removed by staff). She is in the mood to get entertained, to laugh, for something loud, to party, to dance, to jump-go somewhere else! Preferably where no one died in the past two months. My mother was not very old, 71 years old, she had had a difficult life, many illnesses, many surgeries, years on the streets, but she held on for many years, of course. For me, her death is like Hiroshima and Nagasaki for those Japanese who were impacted by those explosions. My mother had known that she was dying when she was relatively okay, she was telling it to me and to other people while crying, it was terrible. She looked as if she was already dead while she was dying but doctors said that they couldn't find cancer in her, so I don't know what happened.

My job interviews rarely end with immediate replies. They mostly end like: "Oh, I need..." "To check your references, to check my ass..." "I will call you... do you have a..." Etc., etc. One... I am trying to stay polite- has been laughing here non-stop very loud next to me. Guys, I buried my mother a month ago-and I had witnessed her dying for two months before that. Actually my mother died in the beginning of those two months but she held on for God knows what reason those two months, and I am her only relative. She is my only relative as well. I don't know how I outlived that nightmare, we had been together for half-a-century-is this something to laugh about? My mother was not a murderer or a terrorist.

I am mostly going through the following: employers invite me to job interviews, some even send me electronic reminders to come to job interviews. They sound very courteous in those invitations, as if they are dying to see me, they are asking me if I can come to their interviews at the time they want me to come-then at the end of the actual interviews, they show me the door. Wait! They call me to my residence asking me to come to an interview! The invitations come through my email box and through my phone. Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Birmingham called me with an invitation-the door! Civic center rehab in North Birmingham sent me both an invitation to a job interview and a reminder-the door! Etc., etc.
