I taught 3 years in Colorado, then 28 years in the Fort Smith public schools, working first at the secondary level and later at the elementary level. I retired in 1998 then taught Spanish in a private elementary school for additional 6 years before retiring permanently. I am involved in writers' groups and am also an organist. I served 21 years as Music Director at St. Michael Catholic Church in Van Buren. During that same time period, I served as parish secretary for 5 years. I currently serve as organist at Trinity Episcopal Church in Van Buren. I've neither required nor received special help during the pandemic except for masks. Two different friends created personalized masks for me, and my daughter who is an RN sent me a package of regular masks. I am grateful for their contributions and regularly use a mask in public situations.
