Wage Hikes

I'll probably get a lot of heat for this, but pushing buttons on a register, waving a scanner over an item, or entering the code for bananas(which is 4011), stocking shelves, flipping burgers, bagging groceries, should never constitute what most people say is a living wage(restaurants should be a little higher due to risk factors). That being said, if you work 40 hours a week somewhere then you should be able to survive. Plus you should also be able to work your way up, and of course, get raises. Plus jacking up minimum wage does nothing if everything else goes up with it. Plus many places can't do merit reviews(or won't rather) because minimum wage goes up again superceding the raise an amployee would get. It's also a slap in the face to long time employees. Why should a new hire make what a long time employee makes?? Thoughts?? #advice #hiring
