I have applied at multiple places. All is great til the background. I live in Bronte Tx. Have lots of experience in many areas. Not afraid of hard work or to get dirty. And love to learn new things. No 1 would be disappointed if I could only get a chance. An opportunity. I could prove myself from that point on. Its stressful.

I'm A X-Felon with A CDL and Can't get Hired So I Feel Your Pain. And I'm Union and Out of Work Just Because I Don't Tolerate The Prison Yard Politics That Sometimes Play Out In The World As Us X Convicts Call it. Inside Seems To Make More Sense. It's A Journey Brother just Stay Persistent. They Got jobs Where I'm from But There Deplorable but it's A Start. Packing Houses.

There should be some sort of a work place felony help hotline for those who had a record! Check with your probation officer and see if he or she can hook you up with a group in your area that is doing this! I cannot believe that they don't have a program like this in your area. If they don't you might suggest that they start one up, and you be the first member to join! This is an on going and real problem all over this country, and not a whole lot is not being enough to "stem the tide!"

At this point, you need to think about freelance and contract work. That can mean working in the trades, starting your own business (hopefully with a relative who is clean and can be the 'face' of the business), or doing work-at-home jobs like freelance writing, affiliate marketing, blogging, etc. I've hired ex-felons and people on parole to work on my house, and I know that most employers will run a background on you- even private businesses and homeowners can look you up. It's not going to be easy, and your PO, if you have one, is not responsible for helping you find work. Start looking online for virtual or at-home work. Ivetriedthat.com is one website that lists many at-home jobs and virtual business ventures that can make you money (full disclosure: I used to write for this site). It's still work, though, and even though you're sitting at home, you need to hustle, learn skills, and market yourself. Good luck.

Yeah...Getting out of that fascist state would help. Avoid red states. They are never labor friendly. Less than intelligent people will look at "what" happened and not "why." Whatever the headline says, it is either real or fake news depending the shade of the rose colored tinted glasses that they look through. That's what happened, therefore that's the truth...Some occupations require security, background and credit checks. Even white collar crimes will keep you from driving over the road. Unfortunately you are guity until proven innocent. But, there's hope and your valuable ally...is time...But, you have to keep your nose clean. Much of that will fall off your record...I personally know of a former husband and wife who ran a meth lab...Got busted, with two minor children in the house (nobody likes child endangerment with drugs around). That was 18 years ago. She got a job at Fed-ex a few years later. She's still employed, but not working there...He got a CDL back before I knew them...Still has one, making 30.00+incentives driving a big loader at a copper mine...Looking at them, one would never know. I personally don't think this is a man bites dog story, either. You'll be alright. There's no losers on this site.

You'll find some trucking outfit that would give you a chance but most would turn you down because you would be a liability hauling valuable merchandise cross country, they'll be afraid you'll set up the load with your buddies in the life of crime. I hope you stay on the level and do right once you get the chance.
