Hi Ricca!! I just wanted to mention how your post made me feel as if I were reading one of my own or something similar. We have the exact same goals and ambitions for an employment opportunity! Except I am entirely clueless where to even start, or how to manage to be able to even get a potential employer's attention due to a poor work history/ethic from almost 15 years ago and have been on disability ever since! Now currently I'm a mom to an amazing 6 year old girl (who thinks she's turning 20, I swear, LOL!) and I want to not only lead by example to show her that she can do anything if she just applies herself and sets her mind on accomplishing the proper things to guide her journey through life down a positive path, so I can be at ease knowing she will be ok after I'm gone someday. I lost both my parents when I was pretty young, I mean I'm only currently 36 and I haven't always made the best choices in the past but I want to show her as well as tell you; ANYTHING is possible if you keep a positive attitude and are willing to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING (withing reason and relativity) to get the position you desire!

Long story short; I just wanted to offer some kind words of encouragement, and let you know you're not alone. So don't get discouraged! It may or may not take a while to get the perfect opportunity that fits every aspect you want/need, but I'm confident it WILL happen! GOOD LUCK!!
