Your resume should not display your age, only the last 10 years of employment. If you show the last 40 years then yes it would. If your summary says 30+ years experience (or anything to reference more than 10 years worth), then that is also a tell tale sign of your age. Review your Resume to make sure there is nothing to imply your age. I turned 60 years this so I understand the ageism. Your Resume is your calling card, so either it indicates your age, or it is not properly written (should be written for the job your applying for). Also when you create a web/job board user account steer away from showing how many years experience you have. Your objective is to get you an interview,,, once you have one & if they ask how many years you have (as I am sure they can visually see your a mature person),,, also dont state it in numbers,,, just say,,, I have VAST numbers of year,,, or more than 20 years.... 20 years is considered a Senior level anything more than that your overskilled, the amount of years you have should only account for salary negotiation upon being offered a job.
