Unemployment extension status.

My position ended in June 2020. By December, my unemployment benefits were depleted. I have not received any federal extension and have depleted my savings and severance funding. EDD cannot handle the calls of inquiry and even though EDD in California states the federal extension requires no action on the part of the unemployed, I have not received any letters in the mail nor have I received any communications via the web. This is extremely frustrating as I continue to seek employment. I am a former executive so the search has been intense. #benefits

I live in Wyoming and my employment ended in the beginning of April 2020 and I repeatedly went online to the Wyoming unemployment site and tried and tried to register My unemployment claim and the website kept having problems letting Me finalize My claim and the same at the local unemployment office. I never recieved a single penny of My uneployment benefits or a single penny of the extra $600 and the extra $300 per week like everyone else who qualified did. I couldn't get help fixing the problem. I don't have any money to hire a lawyer to get the money owed to Me. I don't know what to do........

Yes as a professional I see that the type of jobs I am looking for are low barred as far as compensation but the job description remains extensive. I also see that most jobs are in the Healthcare arena and I see that as being risky employment. I always wanted to work in the Healthcare but now, I'm considering early retirement. I pray we'll get through this.

you just need to call and call and call until you finally speak to someone and tell them everybody else got extensions without lifting a finger why the hell am i any different? Is it my race or because I'm gay? they will push your shit through and within 2 weeks or less you'll have your papers to certify for all your back pay.

I have had the same experience as Hollis despite repeated attempts, including a trip to the unemployment office, there a few very nice indviduals who tried to help but basically they were closed. I too fit the requirements for extended benefits but received $0.

Then you're going to have to go into an office and wait all day

I am in the exact same position. No check, no correspondence other than on my behalf, no way to speak with a real person. I have completed all applications and was told to wait. ... I've already been waiting for 6 weeks. I was office manager and get little to no response from these so called desperate employers. ... Go figure...
