I was a SPED teacher for many years. I was fortunate to receive some excellent support from my staff and admin untill moved to WA state, where my staff worked against me as well as the adm. In my teaching experience, I was hit, had bones bruised and broken...and frequently asked by adm: "what did you do to provoked the situation or why were you in their strike zone????. I think my adm and gen Ed teachers wanted my students to be unseen and unheard. Yet I was expected to teach common core in one school and in another, just keep my students unheard and unseen...I don't know...is there a good special ed curriculum ?? The best one that I have ever used was when I taught in New Mexico, it is called The UNIQUE Curriculum. I would probably be teachining in WA State, if it was available.

I used to live in WA back in the day when it was a great place to live. Now it's being run by radical leftists who hate everybody & everything & can't be reached by reason or common sense, Moreover it's a general rule of education everywhere that if anything goes wrong for any reason it's always the teacher's fault - even if the roof caves in. All u can do is move to a sane state & laugh while the state you left behind sinks like the Titanic. CA for example has 10s of 1000s of homeless ppl who are crapping everywhere in public, even on the LA Sheriff's lawn!

I was a special ed student and some special ed student can be aggressive. Also, I think why the administration and the general ed teachers wanted those students to be unseen and unheard is because they don't want those students to be ridiculed by the general ed students.
