Banking info change

Does anyone know how to change my banking information with IRS? My account the IRS has is now closed. Due to being laid off for Covid, I could not take care of the overdrafts and the bank closed my account. I tried calling and get no one. I looked on the website and there was no information to change my info.

Your best bet would be to continue to contact your bank. They are a business and eventually, someone will answer! Just keep trying to get that situated. The other option might be to have the IRS update and change your form of payment so it isn't going into a dead account.

If it goes to a closed account it will automatically default and the IRS will issue a paper check.

You can't opt for the pay card. They will also mail checks.
