As a Station Agent my primary function was customer service. I encoded metro cards on the computer for customers to use on the trains and busses to travel throughout the city and state of New York. I assisted customers in using the vending machines to encode their own metro cards, l gave information and directions to customers in helping them getting around New York City, and at the end of my tour of duty l would deposit in the safe deposit box cash in the amount of a couple hundred dollars to fifteen thousand dollars or more according to the station that l worked.
