What is a great way to close an interview without sounding too pushy?

Hi Sherry DeTata

Final impressions can be the longest lasting, so it's great that you're thinking carefully about how to approach closing an interview!

Here are some suggestions I have for you:

Reaffirm your interest *"I've greatly appreciated the opportunity to talk with you and learn more about this position. Hearing about [INSERT SOMETHING YOU CHATTED ABOUT] has reaffirmed my excitement to join the team!*

Remind them why you're a great candidate Overall, it seems to me that this role is a great fit for me. I look forward to the potential of using my skills and expertise in [ROLE YOU ARE APPLYING] to help [COMPANY] succeed!

Thank them and ask about next steps Before leaving, be sure to check in and see what's next. Ask about a timeframe and if there would be any other components to interviewing so you can arrange for any follow-up communication.

Oh, and don't forget to send a follow up thank you note when you get home!

I always thank them for the opportunity to come in, thank them for their time. Smile, and give examples when asked for them clearly and avoid the dreaded "um". Be confident in yourself and your answers.
