Customer Service is different in every business. Some are as simple as a cashier position, sales, or can be more complex in assisting customers w product issues, personnel complaints, or tracking down products.
Customer service you just have to be able to deal with different personalities. Some of the people you talk with are very understanding and you could talk to very rude customer. It's all about how you handle the call. I work for and Energy company where customer come on the line angry Lites and Gas shut off in the winter time I am from Detroit so you can imagine the calls I got. You can't take it personally who wouldn't be mad if you have no heat in the winter with six foot snow on the ground.
It hasn't been hard at all for me. I worked Customer Service for over twenty years. For DTE energy. Have not had any problems finding a job.
