
When we hire for our own team we look for intellectually curious people, and look for “self awareness and cognition” which is just a fancy way of people being able to learn! It’s what most employers look for and being a good and continuous learner is the single strongest behavior that can help one get ahead -however you define that.
Here’s an article from the folks at HBR about it. One key is to remember learning is everywhere- not just in a classroom setting. But we do need to be purposeful about it.
