I've been feeling overwhelmed with Stress and job searching for 3 months now, although I've had a dozen call backs only 3 interviews I finally got the in person interview today and I liked the environment but the hourly pay is not what I expected nor what was on the indeed site, conflicted on what to do especially when I told them were I needed to be salary range, why would you offer $4 less , idk what to do since at my age 50+ the options are few, but my experience an work history beyond proficient to do the job, I guess it comes down to settle for less or continue my searching process

If you liked the environment why don’t you take it and still look around for something else. This way at least you will be bringing something in.

I feel your pain. I'm 63 years and can work circles around anyone half my age. Problem is, wait for it, my age.

That it does. I am older then you and have to leave off half my experience due to quitting or things I couldn't tolerate. They dump on the younger generation who often times could be making more money if they are good they just don't know it yet. They get the younger to dump then on us the older knowing we don't have much of a choice, take it or leave. The most common is they want us gone so they can bring in their friends. For job security they stay on the same job often without a raise but they cover for one another its a trade off. We are out before we get in.
It’s always about the $$ they know you are beat down sorry to say.
