Get used to it Sweetheart. All I can tell you is to keep swinging, kid! There is one protected group called the aged, those of us over the age of 50. They cannot discriminate against us. On the other hand when applying for a particular job(one in which we are qualified to perform)PROVING age discrimination is a lot harder. Easier said than done, they say. If you know that they hired someone younger than you, then you have a case. If not, then go to to the next job application. Unfortunately for us we usually don't have a pile of cash laying around. So even if we did know someone was hired younger than us we would need to retain a lawyer and a PI just for starters. You could file a complaint with the Dept. of Labor, which is about the best we will get. See they made these laws but not for us. This was done at a time of "Cover Your A$$". If you look busy they'll think you are busy. Just plod ahead Darlin'!
