I give up!!!

I have applied for almost 4,000 jobs in the last year and a half. I got my masters degree in Psychology with hopes of getting a good paying job. I’m lucky to work at a gas station making minimum wage!!! It’s pathetic how companies are hiring only for looks. I can’t get a job to save my life! For those who don’t believe me just ask around. I’m not drop dead gorgeous but I’m not that bad. I have 2 kids that are starving because their mother can’t get a job. I give up. Guess we’ll just be homeless. It’s sickening!!!!!

When you at your breaking point that’s when God takes over. Don’t give up you shall live and not die say the lord. I haven’t work for 2 year feeling the same. But God have me! He will do the same for you. Keep the faith sweetie!

A master's degree in psychology, unfortunately, does not translate to the job market very well a bachelor degree is good enough for entry level psychology careers and a PhD or PsyD is needed for psychologists or therapists in most states. The most viable options based on your education would be a counselor or specialist within a county or state organization. So many people these days earn an online degree and enter the job market unwilling to follow direction and expecting high salaries based on their education. This is one of the major reasons so many job searchers are being told they are "overqualified". Companies have become wary of hiring people with a degree if it is not a requirement for the position. When applying for a position, if a M.A. or M.S. is not a specific requirement then do not even mention it. It's on your resume so no need to lead with that or make it the focus of why you should be hired.

Tammy: I know it is not a panacea, but have you tried online work? If you have a good internet connection, there are work at home jobs that are internet based.

In some cases this is true.. But just keep applying to jobs you will eventually get one trust me. You don't have to be super pretty to work at Walmart a supermarket or anything of that nature. Work at Amazon or wherever. You will find something
