So..........after appealing my case 2 times for PUA and contacting my state senator for help I thought things were going to change for the better. I was approved for a months worth of PUA and I've been jobless for over 6 months. The judge claimed that I should've/could've stayed at the job that was treating me like a worthless pos because covid didn't effect me directly, just my job position that I worked so hard for. In the meantime everything currency related (utility bills/ rent/bank account) is going into collections because Iowa Workforce can't pin a date to when I'll be recieveing my payments. So I'm stumped on how I'll recieve anything without a bank. I believe this was a ploy to further dive me into depression 😔

One other thing you are electric bill and your monthly bills should not go against your credit report it's only things like car payments and stuff you have loans on and if you call them they most of the time are willing to work with you. They know that this is happening to everybody

But you should qualify for your stimulus check I believe. And if I remember correctly both correlate with your income tax from last year if you can tell them you paid income tax you should be able to get your stimulus bill and if you made more money last year 2019, send them a copy of your taxes it will show them that you are not making as much money, and you should possibly be able to get the difference

So do we have to reapply for PUA because it’s a new year?

I think your previous employer actually pays into unemployment insurance. And I believe when you file a claim with unemployment they reach out to that place of business. In some states your employer has a right to deny a claim based on the kind of laws or terms of your job. For instance was it seasonal and did you know this when accepting the job? Are you in a "right to work" state? Were you laid off or did you volunterily leave because of Covid-19? If you left can you get a letter saying you are high risk from a medical doctor to help communicate your valid reason to UE. If you were laid off do you have the release paperwork from your employer and have you kept in contact with them about a possible return date, sometimes they extend the terms of the layoff period. You can try to look for free legal aid online or maybe contact the human resources office of your previous employer for help. Good luck everyone! I see a lot of sad stories on here for those who have lost their jobs. I heard some states changed the requirements for unemployment, but I don't think those changes will stay that way forever unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that, but the people that are really out of work due to COVID-19 are paying the consequences for the people that really committed fraudulent activity, that’s wrong. God Bless Us All!!!!
