I quit my job last year in the medical diagnostic industry where I was global product support manager. With that company I managed a team of 7 engineers, was a regional sales support/product manager in UK, did training for customers and service engineers and did strategic marketing over a period of 18 years. Prior to that I was a medical technologist working in the clinical laboratory for 18 years. I am now trying to find a low stress job with medical benefits in Myrtle Beach, SC area but seem to be hitting dead ends every time I apply for positions here. I don't seem to be able to position myself for jobs I know I am capable of, but employers most likely think I am over qualified for or because I have no specific experience for the job. I have many talents including project management skills, organizational, leadership, writing and computer. How do I market these non medical diagnostic skills to get into a position that is not in the medical field? Any advice is helpful.
