Don't work for Burger King!

I was a opening manager for a independent location in the Joliet, IL. area, and it was one of the worst experiences of my life! Extremely low pay and no benefits. The owner didn't care, and it was just a miserable work experience. I will never work for a place like that again! #termination #foodservices #aboutmyjob

I worked for McD's when I was 16 and I said NEVER AGAIN! they are $LAVE DRIVER$... I don't blame the people who are asking $15+ benefits from fast food places-they are nothing but abusive and treat their staff like $laves... No wonder food businesses are having a hard time finding workers because they are SHITTY -the management is shitty, the environment is shitty, the customers are shitty and they want people to put up with no benefits, etc... yea right..

When I was 16 I got hired by a nearby Burger King. While I was with the store I worked a total of 2 weeks in the 6 months I was employed there. About the time I left my employment there the store's manager was arrested for embezzlement.

Fast food is a rougher job than many expect but don't let bad experience at an individual location paint the entire industry. The biggest problem is most major brands are franchised and the owner of the individual franchise not the brand on the door will determine what kind of work experience you will have. In my experience the larger owners tend to do better than individual owners as they have the capital to take care of their employees as well as fix problems as they arise.

I worked for Chick-fil-A. The owner boasted about how much charity he gave from his profits, but paid slave labor to his hard-working employees. Christian hypocrits.

I am so sorry you had a bad experience at your Burger King. I hope people know that BK is a franchise and the restraints are owned and operated by different owners. There are many BKs that choose to treat their employees better than this. Best wishes on your future!
