Unemployed for following my dreams..

I graduated with my bachelors degree last may and I have been struggling to find a good career in my field. I have a business degree with the hopes of getting into human resources. I accepted a full time position in talent acquisition with a growing company. During the interview process they expressed to me that they only promote from within and that they encouraged me to look into any positions that open up. One month after applying an HR assistant position opened up so naturally, I applied. This ultimately lead me to be fired from my position with the reasoning of them saying I'm going to be a great recruiter but they think I should just try to find an HR job. Discouraged I began looking for jobs again without any luck. I was passed up for other HR positions for people that had applied internally just as I had done with my previous employer. Now, I am unemployed less than a year after graduation. Never did I ever think that I would be fired for pursuing my dreams and I never imagined it would be this hard to find a good job.

I'm having a hard time understanding why they would fire you just because they didn't want to move you to the other job. Ridiculous! Just keep pressing forward. You'll find a company that sees your talents and wants to put them to use.
