I am a veteran on the verge of homelessness and I used to build retail stores, restaurants and motels . I believe I could have done any job. The mgr St Cloud Division st store was rude and treated me with disrespect as did the Red Robin corporation having me walk miles for no reason. They should have stated in their advertising that they would not even consider me a candidate. Well I will never be a Red Robin customer again because of this. Sad but most jobs now days only like young kids as they are Naïve and willing to do any job. Problem is they don't have experience. Right now more people in their 40's and 50's have quit the job force and business are scrambling to recover those with knowledge.
I’m so sorry you were treated like that, it’s inexcusable. There are a lot of companies that specifically hire veterans. I’m not sure about which ones in your area but maybe you could do some research? Don’t give up I was literally down to the last minute before I lost everything and I finally got a good job.
