“Well as far as my experience, I was able to get the rooms that the other employees didn't want and or show up for. I also learned how to do my own laundry and maintain my rooms, which was impressive to my manager at the time. The weekends are also busy so it wouldn't be a bad idea to let your boss know you are available morning, noon, and night. If you make yourself available you will get the hours you want.”

Gary Lukens, follow and connect with Gary here - Did you know that the national average salary for Electricians in 2022 is $26.92/hr according to glassdoor. But what are the required skills needed to land this job? Gary has some skills training suggestions…

“Depends on the state and the job. Hard rock mines don’t require a licensed electrician. If you’re looking at residential work go see your local IBEW electrical union. It’s between a 4 and 5-year apprenticeship program.”

“Hi, honestly that may vary depending on the HR or Recruiter responsible for the position. I’ve always reached out or followed up 1-2 weeks after I applied for a job if I haven’t heard anything back from HR. Right now, UPS is doing a lot of hiring for the holiday season, which for UPS, goes past New Year’s Day. So they may be loaded with applications.”

Robert Westfall, follow and connect with Robert here - ADHD is a serious health concern but it doesn’t have to be a good employment limitation. Overcome any #disability hiring obstacles with Robert's insightful and encouraging words of advice…

“I know a few people who have ADHD, even within my own family, and I've seen them do amazingly well with things they enjoy. One sister, who still lives like me in our parent's home, is GREAT at both art and writing, although she does need to have some help in spelling things out. I recommend you find something you yourself are good or great a. If it turns out to be a skill that’s in high demand or able to be sold/marketed in any form, THEN you can try going into that marketing scheme. But the first step would be to find a skill, talent, ability, or passion that works FOR YOU and not AGAINST YOU. Any disability can become a strength if you learn to hone those things that it offers you.”

For #retail collection...be nice to your customers...try to make settlement offers... Commercial collections speak directly with the accounts payable team...make sure you have a good report with accounts payable and email invoices....always call your customers and clients...not just send emails.
