I worked at the same company for 7 years, one day my boss grabbed me by my shirt (assaulted me) on camera . I quit the next day for that specific reason. I cant work there anymore. I filed for unemployment but was denied because the company told unemployment i quit for unjustified reason and on my own. Any ideas ? And i did appeal it also. Thanks !

File with the Federal Department of Fair Employment and Housing , and look for the employment attorney you can find. This should get you a very substantial payout if that business has insurance or any money.

That's all you had to do. Appeal your unemployment denial. Personally, I'd also file a police report to get it on the record. You don't have to prosecute, just make the report. You should still be able to do that within a reasonable period of time. An employer cannot create a "hostile" or "dangerous" work environment and then deny unemployment benefits to someone who quits because of it.

Go to the Human Resources and file a complaint. Not ok in any workplace.

No matter what you will get granted your unemployment and you tell them/the unemployment what happened and They will investigate it so don't worry about telling the company where U worked at anything else about what happened just explain everything about why u are filing for unemployment and they will help you n believe me they do help Alot

What do I do if I have worked for a whole month straight ( noting I asked for the hours) was promised to get a raise for no days off and worked 11.5-12 hours a day with one to two breaks a day that I paid for. But now that I am down sick they are wanting to fire me because my doctor's are saying to not go back to work for two weeks. What do I do

I Mean, if it was on camera then you should appeal it and show the video footage in court. Also, if anything was discussed via text or email you could use it in court, as well.

Keep Appealing! Every time you do so the company has to pay to fight it!

Tell them to watch the camera and let them know that you were embarrassed and under duress about the whole situation and didn't know what to do but walk out... Then find a good legal aid who can get the tape before it's to late...
