I am a Retail Industry worker who has 10 years experience in the field

One of my favorite things that I picked up working in retail is how to fold clothing quickly, efficiently and so damn neatly. It's just one of the skills that I picked up on the job that I use in my everyday life. Here's a great video that goes over a bunch of the folding skills I've learned while on the job. Have you picked up any skills working retail that you've brought into your everyday?

What I love about retail is the Visual Merchandising. I enjoy seeing the before and the after results.

Raised on retail, former entertainment assistant, seeking new opportunities

Since working at Barnes & Noble, I've organized all of my books and media alphabetically and separated them by category! A-Z, fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels/comics, art books, poetry, plays, zines. (DVDs, CDs, and records are just alphabetized though.)

This is a great video too, by the way! I think I'm going to stop rolling my clothes up, and start smartly folding them like Joanna here...

@Rachel Oldenavy I haven't worked in retail but I'm able to carry an obscene amount of dishes with food on them to deliver to the dining table based on my years as a food server.
