I was fired for refusing to perform tasks beyond my job scope without additional compensation. My refusal led to my termination, and now I wonder if there's a legal recourse for this. They even denied my PTO payout. Has anyone been through a similar situation? #Terminated #Uncompensated

I was falsely terminated without pay without PTO I earned working there 5 years and COVID without any extra pay while nurses took off and received a check weekly for more than what they paid me to stay. When I wanted to stay home away from the Infection I was told no even tho my granddaughter had 2 heart transplants and did not want to give her or my family the severe infection no one knew anything about . I am still in debt working extra day a week trying to get caught up. This is fair ?

Hi @Oscar Kelsey - employment laws vary by state - You can try checking with your local employment office or see if an atty will do a free consult - In my state companies are allowed to add duties to jobs.
