Being pushed out.

My name is Larry and I am 57 years old and the job I am working at is something I know very well , but it seems like because of my age and back around they are trying to push me out by cutting my hours. The hour I have right now won't even pay my rent.. Don't know what to do. For person like me skill and what I know it's confusing.

Cant like that but to relate im a one man crew off 6. 2 hands. 2feet. 2eyes. One brain. Can move alota stuff by never going emty handed put phone away and do work ... Theese kids are lazy and dont want to work. My expierence gives me the chance to talk and fun in work enjoy it. Laboring on a good meal is all me. Sleep better. . but kids need to be addressed carefully to not mess up thier composure to get best outa everyone ....as soon as one relizes that im way ahead. Thay seem to throw me under the bus. Because im workin for the company ...not wastin time by the hour..then when finnaly get crew ()together. ) the bus shows up. Cant get it together to do what i was ment. Too. Trained to do. Am i becoming obsolete? ...

I'm 61, can work circles around most younger people. It was especially disheartening when I would come out of my office, and the young person at the front reception area would hurry and shut down a window on her workstation where she had been surfing the web. Too busy to help relieve some of my workload, but has plenty of time to do her own thing on company time. Felt like I was being pushed out for quite a while. We'll see how the job hunting goes . . . I have never left a job before without having one already to go to. Never had my job terminated so abruptly before either.

I agree Larry. The problem is NO ONE CARES. They want us out of the workforce and their practice of pushing us to bankruptcy and financial collapse. I am so tired of reading about education, but that doesn't supply them with the working know-how. They keep us around till they fill they have drained all of our working knowledge, then hunt ways to boot us out the door. We can thank the EDUCATION SYSTEM for this action. When we started working, work was the real key to success. The education system is working to protect themselves by convince everyone they are preparing for the future. Look at the failure rates, the push to "FIX" student loans so they can afford education. If someone would have given me a free ride to college, maybe I would have been able to get an education YEARS ago. Now they want you to go back to school so you can become indebted the systems for thousands of dollars while they offer nothing more, in a lot of cases, than the working knowledge you have acquired over the years. The system is a failure and because they have convinced everyone that if you don't have a degree, you are "uneducated" while they make you go for years studying course on subjects that have absolutely nothing to do with what you are wanting to become. They call them electives but there is nothing elective about it. America is quickly becoming a nation off Educated Morons! I could really careless about Shakespeare, Napoleon, or any of these other worthless things when I want to study engineering, accounting, or medicine. I ask the question why and was told it was to make you a more interesting person. Now ask yourself this, at your last company meeting you attended, how many people ask you about any of these things???
