Residential Cleaner at Diamond In The Rough

Went to an interview yesterday which went well. I was told I would be going to orientation today, so I figured I had the job in the bag, only to get to which I thought was orientation, to be interviewed again by two other people. I was also told that I would here something back by the end of the work day today, and surprisingly I have heard nothing. Soooooo disappointing, when l thought I had the job. Not giving up though, I know something will come through for me. Keeping the faith!!!! #interview #hired #advice

Well, atleast your interview went better than my last one did. I still recall how the recruiter came at me, like a wild animal, demanding I tell him WHY I left my last job. No matter how many times I told him "MY clients were ordered to move OUT, so the site could be demolished" (and it was demolished, by the city.)

Still, the recruiter came at me, saying "I want to know why you did not try to KEEP that job."

If I had not needed income, so badly, I would have walked out, at that point.

Besides, the state agency, which referred me, and others, to the same company, told us "Do NOT turn down any offer, no matter HOW you are treated."

This is why I make the direct comparison between job interviews, and first dates.

The person, in front of you, is making a "spot" judgement. They take, maybe, a total of a half-second, to make harsh, and scathing, decisions, on what they THINK they see.

This is why, unless a person smells of booze, or is too filthy to be close to, I reserve judgement until I see what the person is capable of.

I rec’d an email stating: we’d love to have you back! I interviewed and thought I did well even though I didn’t know the manager. Worked for the company for two years and was their top producer before I left! Rec’d a call later in the day stating she was going with the other candidate? Time wasted on a false statement.

Always Follow Up! Contact them and ask if they need any more information. Tell them you are excited about the possibility of working for them! What can it hurt?
