I worked at Texas roadhouse for almost 2 yrs(19. Mos). My father passed so I cried cpl times at work. Came in to work n they sat me down( first time) and said they can't hv a server trainer come in n not be in good mood, nvr sure if I'm coming in good mood or sad. Thanks Texas Roadhouse u the best

Take some time off if you can, but also explain to them (since they've probably never experienced a loss yet) that there are triggers when grieving. You might see, hear, or be reminded of your father at any moment, and this can bring on tremendous bouts of grief. People can be so ignorant of things they have not experienced. I once broke down after reading a card at Hallmarks shortly after my mom died. You got this and don't let anyone decide how you grieve.
