I have been called in for interviews but I don't get job all they say is " we will contact you" and I hear nothing. I'm bilingual in Spanish and English, I think it's because of my age36 what can I do?

Seems like all people want is your information consider letting your people know where you go for your interviews Good luck when you get a job let me know

It's difficult. At least you have been getting interviews! Think back over the interviews and note if there was something where you felt the interviewer disengaged, even for a moment. Of course we all know the course of 'positive answers, positive attitude' during interviews. Finally, if I could only be 36 again for the work world! More years on earth seems to equal a more challenging job search - but it can be done.

I don't think it has anything to do with your age. Sometimes it can be the questions you ask or didn't ask during the interview. Maybe it was your response to their questions. I've gotten. plenty of responses and I'm much older than you

Call me 813 377 5784

It not u age I just got a job and im 60 years old. Mayb it the way u present yourself not sure but good luck

Your age 36, no way!! I am 58 now my age plays a part in a job search but not 36. I hold BS degree in Healthcare administration, a Masters in Healthcare Informatics and working on my doctrine in Organizational Leadership, with a focus on Healthcare and I still couldn't find a job before health issues became an issue.

Ms. Brandy, I will give you some pointers, I did some courses in interviews and this is what i find out. Listen to their questions, When they ask last , if you have a questions, that is when you ask them. if you feel is a NO go, ask them what happen to the last employee? fired, promoted within or simply terminated. Than thats you give in your last straw and say. frankly ask them what your next step. If you need to call me, tell me if i have i have a chance. That's give them a thinking process and may turn your way. Preserverance is a key. Serg

I have been on six interviews in three months and I still didn't get the job. I have been thinking it's my age too. I'm 41 and yeah, I don't look my age, not too many people these days do, but my age is still what it is. My resume is up to date. I actually don't know what I'm doing wrong. If I knew then I'd have a job. I have another interview on Tuesday so that'll be my seventh in three months. Good luck Brandy!

For me, if I know I aced the interview and I don't hear back, I'll call the next week to "check in" on the process, I'll ask the interviewer why they thought I wasn't a good choice and ask specific questions. I always tell them that I'm looking for constructive criticism for self improvement. They will usually comply. That's actually how I found out a crazed ex-employer was blacklisting me on references!
Hi Brandy, I know the feeling and I was once in your shoes. I use to go one interview to another and all I would get is we'll be in touch and never heard anymore. I know it's frustrating for you but the way I see it is, it's their loss not mine. What kind of work do you do? I may be able to help you.
