Most important thing is a good driving record most places look back six or seven years into your past and tickets for speeding careless and reckless operation, driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances those are all highly frowned upon. Also good navigational skills, map Reading is very important. You've got to know how to get where you're going the fastest possible route. Maintaining your vehicle properly knowing all the traffic was even the most unimportant or unneeded seeming laws or driving regulations. And having patience and not minding long hours on the road, you got to keep your cool when idiotic drivers do idiotic things, you can't let that get to you no matter how ridiculous or dangerous the other guy is driving.
Skills: be focus what is happening around you, if somebody wants to cross, or is a hazard near, like things, oil. Look forward enought to turn your hazard lights before brake to alert the one behind you; check frecuently, every minute your mirrors; and check the mirrors tre times before change lines.
